'One Of A Kind' – Two Thoughts on What GD Wants To Talk About in His New Song & M/V

Probably many of you already know about this, but still let's try to understand the relationship in South Korea between the entertainment industry and the media. As usual, there are companies that want to dominate the market and maximize their profit. This leads and has led to their making dirty deals and has, of course, produced many victims, too.
Because it has become, so called, the 'custom,'  facts can be relative, and dark truths buried.

YG Entertainment badly disrupts the usual order in the industry. YG refuses to follow any of these shitty 'customs,' – doesn't lobby, for example, to entertainment reporters or big broadcasting companies' producers.

The results are obvious.
There are almost no real time, up-to-date, reports about YG artists in major Korean media outlets when they are doing well or when they engage in any positive activities. And despite the artists popularity and recognition, you can hardly detect enthusiasm from media reports, either. Inevitably, as if it's a law, any negative incidents involving YG artists incite everyone to be all over them ferociously, to tear them apart - this is not only one person's opinion--there is evidence galore. Hard to believe? No, it's common knowledge.

First Thought: He is singing about the painful reality of his current status and unfavorable reputation in Korea, and he is appealing to the public for love. It's heartbreaking to GD & Bigbang's fans.

Second Thought: Rather than adjust his conduct to meet his critics objections, he is exaggerating everything they hate about him. And essentially telling them to go to hell.

Let's take a look at a part of the lyrics.
2:04 The scoundrel GDragon has been dropped into this filthy and dark place after being beaten up.
Lyrics: Lalala. Please be open-hearted to me (예쁘게 좀 봐주세요)
2:08 His heart is stabbed His feeling's hurt.
Lyrics: Please don't curse me (욕하지 말아주세요)
2:10 For once, take off your glasses that are tinted with prejudice about GD.
2:11 The real GD is an ordinary young guy... or 'Will this satisfy you?'
Lyrics: Lalala. Please be generous to me (귀엽게 받아주세요)
2:13 Even flattering the public... or just saying, 'screw you' in lovely way.
             Lyrics: Please love me (사랑해주세요)
