How To Pronounce Korean

Hangeul 한글 is the name of the Korean language.
It was created by King Sejong, the 4th ruler of the Joseon Dynasty and introduced in A.D.1443.

Structure of Hangul
1. Letters are grouped into blocks and 'one block one syllable,' such as han.
2. han may look like a single character, it is composed of three letters: ( h) + ( a) +  ( n).
3. Each syllabic block consists of 2 ~ 5 letters, including at least one consonant & one vowel.
4. It is written from left to right.

Components of Hangeul
1. Consonants and Vowels
2. Double Consonants and Double Vowels
3. Final (consonant or consonant cluster)
The consonants at the end of a Korean orthographic syllable are called a "final."
These "finals" only have seven phonetic values which are
ㅇ, ㅁ, ㄴ, ㄹ, ㅂ, ㄷ, ㄱ.

Every single Consonant and Vowel has its own name.
But you can skip this part if you only want to know how to pronounce Korean.
·  14 Basic Consonants: giyeok (기역), nieun (니은), digeut (디귿)
·  5 Double Consonants: ssanggiyeok(쌍기역), ssangdigeut(쌍디귿), ssangbieup(쌍비읍),
                                     ssangsiot(쌍시옷), ssangjieut(쌍지읒). *ssangmeans ‘a pair
·  All 21 Vowels: a(아), ㅑya (야), eo (어), yeo (여),o (오),yo (요), u (우)

The number of possible blocks is 11,172, though there are far fewer syllables used in Korean.
